Our Mission

The Starting Grid Foundation is a veteran and woman led 501 (c)(3) charity that began with a group of friends who realized talent and money to enter competitive motorsports do not always align. They noticed there were many companies that offered sponsorships, but zero
organizations that were dedicated solely to getting athletes into motorsports. Our mission is to support young Americans and women who want to pursue a career in motorsports, anywhere in the paddock.

We approach our investments into young riders from more than just a financial angle. We believe whole-heartedly that riders need to be more than just fast, but also need professional development, guidance and mechanical expertise. Using our multifaceted approach, we expect our riders to outshine all their competition—both foreign and domestic.

Our motto, “Support, connect, compete,” is driven from our passion to help young riders pursue a racing career and our promise to do something that no one has ever done before. We will connect and empower YOU, the fan, to directly impact the sport by empowering you to support the rider you want to see be successful. This gives you the power to influence what talent makes it into the sport and the future of racing. Every dollar counts in motorsport racing and we make it possible for your dollar to have an impact in the sport that was once inaccessible to the average fan.

Your support will help provide the necessary equipment, skills, and professional education to allow young riders to outshine their competition, while connecting them with important figures in the racing community to eventually compete on the national and world stage. Young rider support is made possible with donations from individuals, foundations, and corporations that believe in a shared responsibility to enable young riders to pursue their dreams of a career in motorsports.
